Shantung

Tussah silk fabric in canvas armor, originally from the Chang-Toung Chinese region, rough surface with knots, clumps etc. The original shantung, precious, was made in pure double, that is, with double bave emitted simultaneously by two bachi and features for the remarkable irregularity due to the presence of varicos, flamingos and buttons. At present, the term is extended to all silk fabrics and not reproducing in many ways the characteristic irregular appearance of shantung.
