Shearing

Finishing technique to trim or equalise the length of the residual pile on the surface of the fabric. The fibres are cut at the same height, in brushed and velvet cloth, such as velour, otherwise they are completely removed in combed fabrics. Shearing is carried out using high speed helicoidal cutting blades.
