Slub (or flammè)

The flaking is an irregularly shaped, torpedo-shaped enlargement, which is formed by technical defect on the yarn. By deliberately exploiting this defect, they create flamed yarns, which have varnish at desired intervals, with which fantasy garments are worn in knitwear or fabrics such as shantung. We also say flamed textiles that have buttons and strips of bright colors, especially with very pronounced random varities.
