Casalina
A term of Tuscan origin, which was once used to identify a good cloth for making garments, made in the countryside from local wool. Subsequently it indicated blended cloth made from regenerated wool and cotton. Today it refers to a coarse cotton cloth for aprons and modest clothing, usually in white stripes on a black or blue background.
