Lappet

English term of international technical use, to indicate the fabrics, especially women, that present on the canvas background effects similar to the texture brocades. They stand out from these for the solidity of the pattern. Moreover, while in pattern brocades the drawing can take on different shapes of various sizes, the lappaets always have very limited width but continue in the warp direction. Finally, there are no useless elements on the reverse side.
