Leno weave gauze

Fabric characteristic for the transparency due to the sinusoidal arrangement of warp yarns. The armor differs from that of the normal gauze gauze (which has a bond between warp and blade labile) as it employs a double warp warp that "rotates" around the weft threads, avoiding sliding and giving the fabric stability and solidity. It is manufactured in many different materials: silk for veils and ties, cotton for clothing, synthetic fibres for furnishing.
