Combed, smooth, soft hand fabric, made of wool and fine wool. Similar to flannel, it differs in contrast to the partially covered look that lets you glimpse the weave of the bottom. The term emphasizes the most responsible operation of these peculiarities, that is, the threading. The corresponding carded fabric is called melton.
