Fil-à-fil

The term is mostly attributed to a cotton fabric, which has become a classic for shirt making, made of canvas armor with warp yarns of two different colors, which continue to alternate 1-1 times throughout the fabric height. Little known because it is rarely employed, it is a woolen filament, a combed woolen fabric composed of parades with different shades (such as gray and dark gray) that form a subtle, slightly zigzag-shaped design. Very dense and robust, it especially enhances the range of grays.
