Decating (or decatising)
Cloth finishing process, especially wool, completed at the end of the finishing cycle to attenuate the excess brilliance given by the calendering and pressing, to at the same time fix// this quality and give it a certain degree of moisture to the fabric to revitalise the fibres and definitively determine the size of the fabric.
