Mohair

Long, shiny soft skirt of angora goat, characterized by its softness, luster, sericity and accentuated ripple. Raised for over 2,000 years in Turkey, in the regions around Ankara, it is also located in Texas and South Africa. The most precious fibre is that of the kid mohair, the one year old kid, from the smooth, glossy, spumed surface. It is also said of a soft, lying-haired, low-heeled bottom.
