Knit (fabric)

Classic combed fabric, more rarely carded, doubled in warp, with a very sharp twist for color effect or twisted yarns. Made of fine wool, due to its structure it has a rugged elasticity that remembers that of the actual weft. It is intended for elegant men's dress and ceremony. The term also refers generically to the textile structure obtained by continuous wire instead of warp and weft filaments, with vertical groove in the direction of the warp, characteristic of its elasticity. It can be custom-made (jerseys, sweaters, pullovers) and jersey and with yarns of all fibres.
